Akamai's Infrastructure Services team is looking for Unix System Administrator II who is responsible for operational support of OpenShift and Linux Server Infrastructure and delivering IT Support Services effectively and efficiently.

Akamai's Infrastructure Services team is looking for a Systems Administrator who is responsible for operational support of Linux/Windows Server Infrastructure and delivering IT support services effectively and efficiently. You will also resolve problems and issues with servers to limit work disruptions within the company.

As a Systems Administrator II, you will be responsible for:

- On-going administration support of Linux systems and management of the OpenShift platform ecosystem (installation, upgrade, patching, monitoring)
- Using system resource utilization and monitoring tools such as GAP (Grafana, Alert Manager, and Prometheus) to identify potential problem areas before they lead to incidents.
- Assisting in managing changes for OpenShift container platforms, including upgrades, hotfixes, and sysadmin tasks.
- Handling major/critical incidents for problem resolution and working through root cause analysis and preventive actions.
- Collaborating with engineering teams for Project Implementations and Service Transition.

To be successful in this role you will:

- Have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or its equivalent.
- Have 6+ Years of experience in the IT Infrastructure Management and Service Delivery
- Have 5+ Years of hand-on technical experience in managing OpenShift and Linux administration.
- Have 5+ Years experience working with virtual environments, clustering technologies.
- Have Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP routing, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and high availability networking.
- Have RedHat certifications in OpenShift administration.
