**Job Title: Import Executive**

**Location: Narol**

**Department: Logistics/Supply Chain**

**Reports To: Import Manager/Logistics Manager**

**Job Summary**:
The Import Executive is responsible for managing and overseeing the entire import process, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and company policies. This role involves coordinating with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs agents to ensure the timely and cost-effective importation of goods. The Import Executive must maintain accurate documentation, monitor shipment status, and resolve any issues that arise during the import process.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Import Coordination**:

- Coordinate with international suppliers to arrange the import of goods and materials.
- Negotiate with suppliers and freight forwarders to secure the best shipping rates and terms.
- Ensure all import activities comply with relevant laws and regulations, including customs requirements and trade compliance.
- **Documentation & Compliance**:

- Prepare and review all necessary import documentation, including purchase orders, invoices, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and customs declarations.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of documents to customs and other regulatory bodies.
- Monitor and manage the clearance of goods through customs, addressing any issues that may arise.
- **Shipment Tracking & Coordination**:

- Track shipments from the point of origin to the final destination, ensuring timely delivery.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs brokers to manage the logistics of import shipments.
- Communicate with internal teams (e.g., warehouse, procurement) to provide updates on shipment status and delivery timelines.
- **Cost Management**:

- Monitor and manage import costs, including duties, taxes, and shipping charges.
- Prepare cost analysis reports and work on cost-saving initiatives related to import activities.
- Ensure that all payments related to imports are processed in a timely manner.
- **Problem Resolution**:

- **Handle and resolve any issues related to delayed shipments, damaged goods, or discrepancies in documentation.**
- Work with suppliers and internal teams to address any quality issues or non-compliance with import regulations.
- Reporting & Record Keeping:

- **Maintain accurate records of all import transactions, including documentation, shipment details, and correspondence with suppliers.**:

- Prepare and submit regular reports on import activities, costs, and shipment status to management.
- Ensure proper archiving of all import-related documents for future reference and audits.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- **Experience**: 2-4 years of experience in import operations, international logistics, or a similar role.
- **Skills**:

- Strong knowledge of import/export regulations, customs procedures, and international trade compliance.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and ERP systems.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

**Additional Requirements**:

- **Languages**: Proficiency in [Insert Language(s) based on location] and English is essential.
- **Certifications**: Any relevant certifications in international trade or logistics would be an advantage.
- **Knowledge : SAP ( preferrable )**:
