**Job description**

**Urgently hiring for Junior Safety Officer**

Must possess excellent working knowledge of industry practices/safety/quality management systems. The Safety officer is expected to monitor safety procedures, determine the cause of unsafe conditions through procedure review, equipment and facilities inspection, and worker observation with corrective action recommendations provided.

**Responsibilities**
- Visit job sites to conduct safety audits on personnel, equipment, and materials.
- Develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines.
- Conduct training and presentations on health and safety matters and accident prevention.
- Evaluate, assess, and alter safety practice, safety procedures and policies to assess risk and adherence to the law.
- Research and implement new materials handling processes
- Analyze accident reports and evaluate injury case studies based on available facts
- Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety.
- Conduct safety training sessions for health and safety matters and accident prevention.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies and standards (including OSHA, EPA, etc.)
- Research environmental regulations and policies and institute changes to ensure compliance
- Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures.
- Report on health and safety awareness, issues and statistics are essential.

Professional Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree required (preferably in environmental health and safety).

2. 5-6+ years’ experience in the construction industry.

3. Knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards regarding construction.

4. CHST Certification will be an added advantage.

5. Ability to train, influence and motivate team members.

6. Travelling

7. Proven experience as safety manager

8. Deep understanding of legal health and safety guideline

9. Ability to produce reports and develop relevant policies.

10. Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment

11. Excellent organizational and motivational skills.

12. Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability.

13. Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.

14. Valid qualification in occupational health and safety

**Salary**: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
