**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Teaching & Instruction**:

- Plan, prepare, and deliver Mathematics lessons for secondary school students (Grades 6-10) in line with the curriculum.
- Focus on key mathematical topics such as algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, statistics, and probability.
- Use real-world examples to make abstract mathematical concepts more accessible and relatable to students.
- **Student Assessment & Progress Monitoring**:

- Regularly assess and monitor students' understanding and progress through tests, assignments, quizzes, and projects.
- Provide constructive feedback and individualized support to help students improve and excel in Mathematics.
- Maintain detailed records of student performance, attendance, and behavior, and report progress to parents as needed.
- **Classroom Management**:

- Foster a positive, respectful, and disciplined classroom environment that encourages active participation and independent thinking.
- Implement effective classroom management strategies to maintain focus and order during lessons.
- Encourage student collaboration, problem-solving, and discussions to deepen understanding of mathematical concepts.
- **Curriculum & Lesson Planning**:

- Follow and deliver the prescribed Mathematics curriculum for secondary school students.
- Develop lesson plans, activities, and assessments that align with curriculum goals and educational standards.
- Integrate technology, visual aids, and hands-on activities to enhance the learning experience.
- Plan and lead extra-curricular activities related to Mathematics, such as math clubs, competitions, or projects.
- **Communication with Parents & Staff**:

- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, achievements, and areas for improvement.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings, school events, and other activities to build positive relationships with families.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, especially in the Mathematics department, to share resources, strategies, and support student success.
- **Professional Development**:

- Stay current with developments in the field of Mathematics education, including new teaching methodologies, curriculum updates, and technological tools.
- Participate in professional development opportunities, such as workshops, training sessions, and educational conferences.
- Continuously improve teaching practices based on feedback from colleagues and students.
- **Additional Responsibilities**:

- Support and supervise students during school activities, such as field trips, sports events, or competitions, when applicable.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student grades, assignments, and other relevant information.
- Contribute to the overall development of the school's academic environment by collaborating on interdisciplinary projects or initiatives.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- **Education**:

- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
- A Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or equivalent teaching certification is required.
- Specialized training or qualification in teaching Mathematics is highly preferred.
- **Experience**:

- Minimum of 2-3 years of teaching experience, preferably in secondary education (Grades 6-10).
- Experience with the curriculum, including both national and international education systems, is desirable.
- **Skills**:

- Ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear, accessible, and engaging manner.
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
- Excellent classroom management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in using technology, educational software, and online learning platforms to enhance teaching.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students, fostering a growth mindset and a love of learning.
