**About the role**

As an **SQL Server Database Administrator**, you will be responsible for all aspects of Insight’s database administration and production support. We will count on you with database configuration, maintenance, production support, troubleshooting, and capacity planning, and to assist in the daily maintenance and administration of Oracle and MS SQL and related production activities within Insight. Along the way, you will get to:

- Monitor system resources of database servers to ensure production systems meet availability requirements and hardware enhancements are scheduled in a timely fashion.
- Responsible for auditing and integrity of the data
- Create, maintain, and refresh required SQL Server instances/databases for development, test and production environments.
- Provide end users with technical data in a clear and meaningful manner.

**What we’re looking for**
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5-7 years of experience working with MS SQL databases in a corporate environment.
- Hands on experience in high availability solutions such as windows failover cluster, Always On Availability Groups, Replication.
- Ability to analyze and tune SQL statements.
- Ability to troubleshoot at the component level.
- Good technical aptitude.
- Microsoft Certification in SQL Server/Azure is a plus.
- Good knowledge of writing T-SQL scripts.
