Job Description: Account Executive

Position Title: Account Executive Department: Finance/Accounting Reports To: Hotel Controller / General Manger Location: Vadodara Employment Type: Full-time

Position Overview: The Hotel Accounting Executive plays a crucial role in managing the day-to-day financial operations of the hotel. This individual is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial record-keeping, reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
1.

General Accounting:
Maintain accurate financial records for all hotel transactions, including revenue, expenses, and journal entries.

Process daily and weekly financial reports, including reconciliation of cash, bank accounts, credit card transactions, and other financial statements.

Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures, ensuring accurate posting and reporting of all financial data.

2.Revenue Management:
Monitor and verify all sources of hotel revenue, including room sales, food and beverage, and other services, ensuring that they are correctly recorded in the financial system.

Coordinate with the sales, reservations, and front office teams to ensure accurate revenue recognition.

3.Accounts Payable/Receivable:
Ensure timely processing of vendor invoices and payments, ensuring that all expenses are appropriately allocated.

Follow up on overdue accounts receivable, ensuring timely collection of payments from customers and clients.

Assist in the preparation of aging reports and work with the finance team to resolve discrepancies.

4.Budgeting & Forecasting:
Assist in the preparation and analysis of hotel budgets and forecasts, tracking actual performance against budgeted goals.

Provide regular updates to management on financial performance, highlighting variances and potential areas for improvement.

5. Financial Reporting & Analysis:
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports for management, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) such as revenue, occupancy, ADR (Average Daily Rate), and GOP (Gross Operating Profit).

Analyze financial results to identify trends, opportunities for cost savings, and areas of financial improvement.

6.Compliance & Auditing:
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations, and hotel-specific financial policies and procedures.

Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary financial documentation and supporting schedules.

7.Payroll Processing:
Assist with payroll processing, ensuring that employee hours, benefits, and deductions are correctly calculated and submitted to payroll vendors.

Ensure that payroll-related expenses are properly recorded in the hotel’s financial system.

8.Cash Management:
Oversee daily cash handling procedures to ensure proper documentation, reconciliation, and security of funds.

Manage the cash flow, ensuring adequate working capital for hotel operations.

9.Collaboration & Communication:
Work closely with the hotel management team, department heads, and external stakeholders to ensure financial data accuracy and to support decision-making.

Respond to inquiries and provide financial advice to various departments, as needed.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
