**Job Overview**
The Junior/Senior Counsellor is responsible for guiding students or clients towards making well-informed decisions regarding their education, career paths, and personal development. The role involves assessing the needs, interests, and abilities of clients, providing appropriate guidance, and helping them set realistic goals.
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Counselling and Guidance**:
- Conduct one-on-one or group counselling sessions to understand clients' needs, goals, and challenges.
- Provide guidance on education or career options and personal development strategies.
- Help clients navigate decision-making processes regarding career paths, study programs, or skill development.
- **Client Assessment and Goal Setting**:
- Assess clients’ skills, interests, and abilities through interviews, questionnaires, and other assessment tools.
- Assist clients in setting achievable goals and creating action plans.
- **Information Resource Management**:
- Provide up-to-date information on available courses, scholarships, career opportunities, and educational institutions.
- Maintain and update resource materials, such as brochures, course catalogs, and career guides.
- **Client Follow-Up**:
- Track clients’ progress, provide continuous support, and help them modify goals as necessary.
- Maintain records of sessions, progress, and feedback.
- **Collaboration with Stakeholders**:
- Liaise with educational institutions, career services, and other stakeholders to support clients’ development.
- Organize workshops, seminars, and information sessions in collaboration with these institutions.
- **Administrative Duties**:
- Maintain accurate records of each counselling session and update the database.
- Prepare reports on client progress, sessions held, and general trends in client needs.
**Skills and Qualifications**
- **Education**: Associate degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education, or a related field.
- **Experience**: 0-5 years in a counselling or related role (experience level may influence junior vs. senior title).
- **Communication**: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with clients.
- **Analytical Skills**: Ability to assess clients’ needs and provide tailored guidance.
- **Empathy and Patience**: Must be compassionate and patient, able to provide a supportive environment.
- **Organizational Skills**: Ability to manage multiple clients and maintain accurate records.

Pay: Up to ₹45,000.00 per month
