In addition to K-12 schooling, DAV has recently ventured into Higher Education with DAV-SMK Fomra College of Arts & Science at Kelambakkam, Chennai.

**Summary**

**Educational Qualification**

1. B.Sc/B.E. / B.Tech. in Computer Science or Information Technology (or equivalent) from a recognized university.

2. M.Sc. in Computer Science or MCA from a recognized university.

3. In some cases, BCA / B.Sc. (Computer Science) (or equivalent) + a postgraduate degree (or PG qualification as per school/board norms) may suffice.

**Key Roles & Responsibilities**

1. Prepare lesson plans, assignments, projects, and assessments; evaluate student performance and provide feedback.

2. Mentor and guide students academically — help them build strong conceptual foundation in programming, software, databases, algorithms, etc.

3. Maintain academic records, ensure lab/computer-infrastructure readiness (if required), and collaborate with other teachers/departments for effective teaching and extracurricular/IT-club activities.

4. Encourage logical thinking, problem-solving skills, and build interest in computing among students.
