Introduction:
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Markets Pre Trade team as we build out our Risk and Control PMO function. To manage Execution Risk effectively, deliver on our Group strategy and satisfy all our stakeholders, we must deliver our initiatives consistently and transparently. Programme Management Office (PMO) colleagues ensure initiative delivery is managed in line with the relevant Policies and Standards, using standard processes and tooling to improve the level and likelihood of successful outcomes. They also help to ensure all stakeholders are aware of initiative progress and have the information they need to make the right decisions in a timely manner.

What will you be doing?
- Reporting - coordinates and produces agreed reporting on the Risk and Control book of work e.g. updates to actions and issues. Updating Jira and ORAC at regular intervals.
- Establish and maintain progress reports for the organisation, ensuring that community of Control Leads owners keep their teams on track with their mandatory deliverables.
- Planning - assists asset class points of contact in planning the Risk and Control book of work to ensure no blockages/ pinch points. Ensures agreed plan and milestones.
- Governance - responsible for ensuring team follow project governance standards/methods.
- Financials
- assists asset class points of contact with MTP requests
- ensures all ORACs have budget assigned to them.
- Supporting the points of contact in assessing the combined risk presented by the book of work items, including the tracking of thematic issues in a particular asset class.
- Gathering data to support the resource and effort required to close out a particular issue - escalating in a timely fashion if deliverables are at risk.

What we’re looking for:

- Knowledge and experience of Microsoft packages, including Project, Powerpoint, Word and Excel
- Process oriented with good organizational skills, attention to detail and focus on controls
- Self-motivated, holds high level of accountability for themselves
- Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and planning skills
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.

Skills that will help you in the role:

- Exposure to each stage of the project life cycle and governance of each phase, from inception through to implementation and closure
- Familiarity with the Financial Services environment
