**Job Summary**:
As a metal fabricator, you will be responsible for transforming raw metal materials into finished products through cutting, bending, welding, and assembling processes. **Responsibilities**:

- **Interpretation of Blueprints and Specifications**:

- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to understand project requirements.
- Translate technical drawings into accurate metal fabrication processes.
- **Material Preparation**:

- Select appropriate raw materials such as steel, aluminum, or stainless steel based on project requirements.
- Cut, shear, and bend metal sheets or bars to required dimensions using tools such as saws, shears, and press brakes.
- **Metal Fabrication Techniques**:

- Utilize various metal fabrication techniques including welding, soldering, and brazing to join metal components.
- Operate welding equipment such as MIG, TIG, or arc welders to fuse metal parts together.
- Perform finishing operations such as grinding, sanding, and polishing to achieve smooth surfaces and precise dimensions.
- **Quality Control**:

- Inspect fabricated parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Identify and rectify any defects or discrepancies in fabricated components.
- Conduct dimensional inspections using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- **Safety and Compliance**:

- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace.
- Follow industry regulations and standards for metal fabrication processes and equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a metal fabricator or similar role in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Strong knowledge of metal fabrication techniques including welding, cutting, and bending.
- Ability to operate fabrication machinery and tools safely and effectively.
- Familiarity with welding processes such as MIG, TIG, and arc welding.
- Attention to detail and precision in fabricating metal components to meet quality standards.
- Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials and operate machinery.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot fabrication issues.
