**Purpose of the role**

The Scientist I role requires assessment of technical feasibility, executing new product development, HMM or renovation projects through experimentation and prototyping. The role requires to continuously focus on key deliverables of executing the assigned projects and enable launches under supervision and guidance of team lead.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Understand the project requirements, conduct feasibility experiments, plan the product development activities for innovation/renovation/HMM projects assigned.
- Execute commercialization of products at manufacturing locations
- Conduct plant trials, in market tests and validations to ensure product performance.
- Develop tolerance test plans and execute in time.
- Understand shelf-life requirements, monitor products through shelf life and ensure appropriate actions needed basis shelf life performance
- Development and execution of robust technical plans to effectively manage and mitigate technical risks.
- Effectively execute assigned/planned tasks and activities of projects to deliver against all CPW milestones.
- Partner with operations to take projects from idea through the steps needed to commercialize.
- Contribute to ideas to drive HMM, qualify them and execute in support of business growth.
- Build strog understanding of cost structures for products and ensure cost targets are met in product development.
- Actively participate in identification of products technical performance issues, proactively provide technical solutions to resolve issues.
- Ensure core food safety design principles through product development and adhere to Food safety policy requirements for R&D
- Work with suppliers, ESCs and other technical partners to bring differential and innovative solutions/technologies to GMI to drive advantage
- Develop, maintain ingredients and finished product specifications content

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
- Education - Full time graduation from an accredited
- Masters
- 2-3 Years of work experience

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- Masters (Food & Allied Science, Technology)
- 2-3 Years of work experience
