**Job Title: Radiation Safety Officer (RSO-Medical only)**

**Employment Type**: Full-time

**Job Summary**:
The Radiation Safety Officer (RSO-Medical) is responsible for ensuring the safe use of radioactive materials and radiation-producing equipment in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. The RSO develops, implements, and maintains radiation safety programs to protect workers, the public, and the environment from unnecessary exposure to ionizing radiation.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive Radiation Protection Program.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding radiation safety (e.g., AERB, IAEA, NRC guidelines).
- Maintain all required records of radiation use, safety inspections, incidents, training, and audits.
- Monitor and evaluate radiation exposure levels; oversee the use of dosimeters and other radiation monitoring equipment.
- Train personnel on safe handling of radioactive materials and operation of radiation-generating devices.
- Conduct routine safety inspections and audits of facilities using or storing radioactive materials.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and prepare reports or documentation as required.
- Respond to radiation emergencies and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure that radioactive waste is managed, stored, and disposed of in compliance with regulations.
- Approve the purchase, transfer, and disposal of radioactive materials.
- Serve as the primary contact for all radiation safety matters within the organization.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in physics, Radiological Science, Health Physics, Nuclear Engineering, or a related field.
- **Must have the Training Certificate from AERB.**:

- Certification or licensing as a Radiation Safety Officer (as per regulatory requirements).
- Strong knowledge of radiation protection principles and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with dosimetry systems, radiation detection instruments, and safety protocols.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Fresher or Prior experience working in a hospital, medical imaging center, research facility, or nuclear plant.
- Membership in a professional radiation safety or health physics organization.

**How to apply**:
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
