**Key Responsibilities**:

- Operate lathe machines (conventional/manual) to perform turning operations on metal components.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical diagrams to understand dimensions and tolerances.
- Measure and mark workpieces using precision tools such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Set up tools and workpieces correctly to ensure precision and safety.
- Perform machining operations such as facing, turning, threading, boring, grooving, and taper turning.
- Check completed components for accuracy and quality, ensuring they meet specified tolerances.
- Maintain tools and machines in good working condition through routine checks and basic maintenance.
- Follow safety standards and ensure cleanliness of the working area.
- Coordinate with supervisors and other team members for job priorities and timelines.
- Maintain proper records of work done, tool usage, and any issues encountered.

**Skills Required**:

- Hands-on experience in operating lathe machines (manual).
- Good knowledge of measuring instruments and machining processes.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Basic understanding of materials (steel, aluminum, etc.).
- Focus on quality, precision, and safety.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new machines or methods.
