**Job Title: Commis I (Bakery Section)**

**Job Summary**:
As a Commis I in the Bakery Section of our four-star hotel, you will play a crucial role in supporting the pastry team to deliver high-quality baked goods and desserts. Under the guidance of senior pastry chefs, you will assist in the preparation, production, and presentation of bakery items while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and cleanliness.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Food Preparation and Production**:

- Assist in the preparation of doughs, batters, fillings, and other bakery ingredients according to recipes and guidelines.
- Support the baking and cooking process, including shaping, proofing, baking, and decorating various bakery items.
- Ensure adherence to portion control and presentation standards for all baked goods.
- **Bakery Station Maintenance**:

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery station, including equipment, utensils, and work surfaces.
- Monitor and replenish ingredient stocks to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Assist in the proper storage and rotation of ingredients to minimize waste and spoilage.

- **Safety and Sanitation**:

- Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards at all times, including proper handling, storage, and disposal of ingredients.
- Maintain personal hygiene and cleanliness according to hotel policies and industry regulations.
- Participate in regular cleaning and sanitation tasks to uphold hygiene standards in the bakery section.
- **Team Collaboration**:

- Work collaboratively with other members of the pastry team to ensure smooth operation of the bakery section.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and superiors to coordinate tasks and responsibilities.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff as needed.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience working in a bakery or pastry kitchen is preferred.
- Knowledge of basic baking techniques, equipment, and ingredients.
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating high-quality baked goods.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and grow within a dynamic culinary environment.
- **Digree or diploma in hotel management with specialisation in bakery compulsory**

**Salary**: ₹10,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
