**Role Purpose & Scope**

Test Preparation
- Provide test estimations (when required)
- Analyse the requirements and configuration documentation
- Prepare test data based on test scenarios to be tested and requirements/config.
- Prepare Planned Test Strategy (PTS), Test Cases (TC) and Test Progress Report (TPR).
- Document the Test Requirements, scope; identify high level test requirements for each in scope document and out of scope document.
- Peer review of Planned Testing & Test Artefacts
- Prepare the SQL scripts based on the System Analyst’s Technical Specifications document

Test Execution
- Ensure test environment is setup correctly
- Involved in testing ABRS config. Compare the config seed data against the configuration in DB.
- Generate reports and tax invoices to compare the actual results with expected results
- Execute the test SQL queries to compare the results with reports generated
- Manual testing of MBRS upgrades and new releases
- Perform initial test investigation and communicate issues found with Developers, Business Analyst, System Analyst and Technical Project Manager (TPM)
- Raise bugs in Team Foundation Server (TFS)
- Update test artefacts (Check in and out) in TFS
- Update TPR (Test Progress Report) spreadsheet for daily status updates
- Resolve TFS docket and assign it to Team Lead for review and closure.
- Post Test Execution - Provide Test Evaluation Summary (TES). Evaluate overall success of entire test and record Pass/Fail status of Test

Other Tasks
- Create and maintain Test Automation
- Mentor/Training other testers in different product areas
- Maintain knowledge sharing portal
- Perform Escaped Defect Analysis (EDA) to determine the incidents test escaped reasons in production.

**Desired Skills & Experience**
- Tertiary qualifications or equivalent industry experience
- 2- 5 years' experience with Microsoft SQL 2005 / SQL 2008r2, SQL 2012,.NET. (desirable)
- Excellent knowledge of testing approaches and techniques (at least 3 years)
- Proven ability to prepare, review and analyse test plans, test cases and test reports and coordinate defect logging and management
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated capability of analysing issues and getting to the root cause with precision and focus.
- The ability to debugging and use diagnostic skills with automated testing tools.
- Good understanding of the TFS process and techniques
- Attention to detail, pro-active and ability to identify potential threats / weaknesses and cover off before they eventuate.
