Computer Operator

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **System Management**:

- Monitor and operate the company's computer systems and networks to ensure smooth operation of day-to-day tasks.
- Regularly update and maintain jewelry inventory databases, ensuring accurate tracking of stock, products, and transactions.
- Manage and troubleshoot issues related to jewelry software (such as design, production management, or POS systems).
- **Data Entry & Inventory Management**:

- Enter and update data related to jewelry pieces (such as materials, pricing, and designs) into the company’s database or ERP system.
- Assist in tracking inventory levels, generate reports on stock, and handle data associated with procurement and production cycles.
- Ensure all data entered is accurate, complete, and aligns with the firm’s inventory and sales records.
- **Software & Tools Support**:

- Operate jewelry-specific software to aid in the design, creation, and management of custom orders.
- Ensure that jewelry CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software and production-related programs are operating correctly.
- Provide technical support for staff who are utilizing computer systems for design, production, and retail purposes.
- **Troubleshooting**:

- Resolve computer and software-related issues quickly, escalating to the IT team when necessary.
- Perform routine system backups and ensure the security of data by managing permissions and access controls.
- **Report Generation**:

- Create reports on jewelry inventory levels, production status, and sales.
- Compile daily, weekly, and monthly data reports, and present findings to management.
- Prepare performance summaries and operational analysis to identify areas for improvement.
- **Communication & Coordination**:

- Work closely with the production, sales, and design teams to ensure seamless operations between departments.
- Communicate system issues and downtime with affected teams and resolve as quickly as possible.
- **Maintain Data Integrity**:

- Ensure that data entered is correct, complete, and aligned with established procedures.
- Regularly audit data to prevent errors or inconsistencies in product listings, inventory, and pricing.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- **Education**: High school diploma required. A degree in Information Technology or related field is preferred.
- **Experience**: At least 2-3 years of experience as a computer operator or in a similar role within the jewelry or retail industry.
- **Technical Skills**:

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.) and inventory management software.
- Familiarity with jewelry design and production software (e.g., CAD software, POS systems).
- Basic understanding of database management and data entry.
- **Attention to Detail**: Strong ability to maintain accuracy when handling large amounts of data.
- **Problem-Solving Skills**: Ability to troubleshoot issues related to computer systems, software, and equipment.
- **Communication Skills**: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with different teams effectively.
- **Organizational Skills**: Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining accuracy.
- **Knowledge of the Jewelry Industry**: A basic understanding of the jewelry-making process, products, and materials is a plus.

- Standard office hours, with occasional overtime required depending on project deadlines or production schedules.
- Office environment with a focus on maintaining a secure and efficient technological setup.
- Team-oriented environment with collaboration across multiple departments (sales, design, production).

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
