- 201301About usAs an IP docketing Expert-cum-Chinese Translator & Project Coordinator, you will play a vital role in facilitating effective communication between English-speaking and Chinese-speaking parties as well as with the in-house docketing team (in India) while also managing the daily docketing tasks to support project delivery.

This dual-role position requires proficiency in IP docketing & paralegal tasks (mainly China Patent & Trademark Prosecution), fluency in both Chinese and English, as well as daily task management skills.

Your responsibilities will include:
Docketing:

- IP (patents and trademark) docketing experience of 4+ years. Expert-level knowledge of China patent & trademark prosecution.
- Docketing: calendaring the statutory & non-statutory deadlines in the Intellectual Property Management System (IPMS) along with relevant
- documents to preserve IP rights.- De-docketing: perform or close the calendared events in IPMS once the requisite action is completed or canceled respectively.
- Prioritize daily docketing/de-docketing requests and other allocated tasks as agreed with the client to complete each day to keep IPMS current and correct.
- Review patent & trademark prosecution-related documents received via mail or shared site and update/create the records in IPMS as per the standard operating procedures (SOP).
- Maintain the data of IPMS and proactively monitor the docket to ensure that all PTO & client deadlines are met.

Translation:

- Accurately and fluently translate written and spoken content between Chinese and English.
- Translate a wide range of Patent and Trademark prosecution documents, including correspondences from the China Patent Office, Foreign Agent
- communications and end Client’s in-house China Team.

Interpreting:

- Provide consecutive or simultaneous interpreting services during meetings, conferences, and events as needed.
- Ensure effective communication between foreign agents, the client’s in-house team who speak Chinese.

Proofreading and Quality Assurance:

- Review translated content to check for accuracy, grammar, and cultural nuances.
- Make necessary revisions to improve the quality of translations.
- Manage translation projects from start to finish.
- Coordinate with clients and team members to ensure all project requirements are met.

Client Communication:

- Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing updates on project progress, addressing inquiries, and managing client expectations.
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality translations and managing client relationships.

Team Coordination:

- Collaborate with a team of in-house docketers, and operations manager located in India to ensure smooth project execution.

Qualifications:

- Native-level proficiency in Chinese.
- Good command of the English language is a must (oral and written).
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in translation and project management is a plus.
