Cad Designer

The CAD Designer is responsible for creating, designing, and developing CAD jewellery designs from concept to completion. This position requires a high level of creativity and technical expertise in order to develop unique and innovative CAD jewellery designs using CAD software. The CAD Designer collaborates closely with the design team, gemologists, and other stakeholders to bring concepts to life, ensuring the final products meet the preferences and expectations of the customer.

Here are some other roles and responsibilities to expect:

- Develop innovative and captivating diamond jewellery designs, including rings, necklaces, earrings, and bracelets, adhering to current fashion trends and consumer preferences of various markets.
- Utilize CAD software (such as Rhino and Matrix) to translate sketches and concepts into detailed 3D models.
- Work closely with jewellery designers and artisans to come out with new product development ideas
- Modify existing catalogue styles/product designs asper the requirement
- Create accurate and detailed CAD models that can be used for production, including precise measurements, gemstone settings, and manufacturing specifications.
- Ensure that the designs are feasible for the production process, considering factors like metal casting, stone setting, and assembly.
- Train other CAD designer when opportunity arises.

**Requirements**:

- Aptitudes such as willingness to learn, hard work, dedication.
- Bachelor's degree in Jewellery Design, Fine Arts, Industrial Design, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 2-5 years of proven experience as a CAD Designer in the diamond jewellery industry, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of designs.
- Proficiency in jewellery-specific CAD software (e.g., Rhino, Matrix) and rendering tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and a keen sense of aesthetics.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Adaptability to evolving trends and market demands.
- Understanding of the cultural nuances and preferences of the market.
- Excellent creative and technical skills.
- Strong knowledge of current trends in the jewellery industry.
- Excellent attention to details and organisation skills.
