We are seeking a meticulous and experienced
QA Engineer
with a strong focus on
API Testing
to join our growing [Department Name] team. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our APIs and backend systems. You will design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies and test cases to identify and prevent defects, contributing significantly to the delivery of high-quality products.

**Responsibilities**:
**API Test Strategy and Planning**:
Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test strategies specifically for our APIs, considering functional, performance, security, and reliability aspects.
**API Test Design and Development**:
Design, develop, and maintain automated and manual test cases for RESTful, SOAP, and other types of APIs.
**API Test Execution and Analysis**:
Execute test cases, analyze test results, identify, and document defects clearly and concisely in our bug tracking system.
**Automation Framework Development**:
Contribute to the development and maintenance of API test automation frameworks using relevant tools and programming languages.
**Performance and Load Testing**:
Design and execute performance and load tests on APIs to ensure they can handle expected traffic and maintain acceptable response times.
**Security Testing**:
Participate in security testing efforts for APIs, identifying potential vulnerabilities.
**Collaboration**:
Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle to understand requirements, provide feedback, and ensure quality.
**Test Data Management**:
Create and manage test data effectively for API testing.
**Reporting and Communication**:
Communicate test progress, results, and risks effectively to the team.
**Continuous Improvement**:
Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to enhancing our QA methodologies and tools.
**Mentorship (Optional)**:
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior QA engineers on API testing best practices.
