**Role Overview**

**Key Responsibilities**

Responsibilities will progress with faculty rank, reflecting increasing levels of leadership, research contribution, and strategic influence.
- **Innovative Teaching & Experiential Learning**:

- Deliver engaging instruction in core and advanced Environmental Science areas, including ecology, climate science, environmental policy, sustainable development, and pollution control.
- Develop curricula that integrate modern analytical tools (e.g., GIS, remote sensing, environmental modeling, data analytics) and practical fieldwork.
- Utilize project-based learning, case studies, and hands-on laboratory experiences to cultivate critical thinking and applied problem-solving skills for environmental challenges.
- **High-Impact Research & Scholarship**:

- Conduct original and rigorous research that significantly advances understanding in environmental science, focusing on areas such as climate change adaptation, biodiversity conservation, sustainable resource management, renewable energy, and environmental impact assessment.
- Publish high-quality scholarly work in reputable national and international peer-reviewed journals and present findings at leading conferences.
- (For Associate/Professor) Lead and mentor junior faculty and students in research initiatives, fostering a dynamic research culture and securing external funding.
- **Professional & Sector Engagement**:

- Build and maintain collaborations with environmental organizations, government agencies, NGOs, industry, and consulting firms to ensure curriculum relevance and create valuable experiential learning opportunities.
- Translate academic insights into practical solutions for environmental management and policy development.
- **Academic Mentorship & Institutional Contribution**:

- Provide dedicated mentorship and guidance to students, supporting their academic growth, research endeavors, and career aspirations in the environmental sector.
- (For Associate/Professor) Provide strong mentorship to junior faculty, nurturing their teaching and research capabilities.
- Actively participate in departmental, institutional, and professional service, contributing to strategic planning, program accreditation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

**Eligibility & Qualifications**

**For Assistant Professor**:

- **Experience**: Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in Environmental Science teaching or academic research.
- **Research**: Demonstrated potential for conducting and publishing high-quality, impactful research.

**For Associate Professor**:

- **Education**: Ph.D. in Environmental Science or a relevant specialization from a recognized university. Master's Degree in a relevant environmental field from a recognized university.
- **Experience**: Minimum 7 years of full-time teaching/research experience as an Assistant Professor in Environmental Science.
- **Research**: A strong and consistent record of high-quality research publications in peer-reviewed journals, indicating a growing research profile.

**For Professor**:

- **Education**: Ph.D. in Environmental Science or a closely related discipline from a globally recognized institution. Master's Degree in a relevant environmental field from a recognized university.
- **Experience**: Minimum 10 years of progressive teaching, research, and leadership experience as an Associate Professor in Environmental Science.

Pay: From ₹50,000.00 per month
