Greetings of the day,

We are seeking a Field Geologist to join our interdisciplinary team focused on understanding ancient landscapes and human-environment interactions. In this role, you will bridge the gap between geology and archaeology to enhance our understanding of past civilizations and unearth hidden historical narratives.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Conduct geological surveys and analysis to identify potential archaeological sites and understand the geological context of past human activities.

2. Collaborate closely with archaeologists to integrate geological data into archaeological research methodologies and interpretations.

3. Assist in the selection of excavation sites based on geological features, stratigraphy, and sedimentology.

4. Provide expertise in dating techniques, such as radiocarbon dating, stratigraphic correlation, and other geological dating methods, to establish accurate chronologies for archaeological findings.

5. Analyze geological materials recovered from archaeological sites, including rocks, minerals, soils, and sediments, to reconstruct past environments and land-use patterns.

6. Contribute to the interpretation of cultural landscapes by integrating geological data with archaeological evidence, historical records, and ethnographic studies.

7. Collaborate with geophysicists, remote sensing specialists, and other scientists to employ advanced technologies for non-invasive exploration of archaeological sites.

8. Communicate research findings through written reports, scientific publications, presentations, and interdisciplinary conferences.

9. Provide training and guidance to archaeologists on geological concepts, methods, and techniques relevant to their research.

**Qualifications**:
1. Master's or Ph.D. degree in Geology.

2. Strong background in geological principles, including stratigraphy, geomorphology, sedimentology, and geological dating methods, sample collection, etc.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: ₹700.00 - ₹1,200.00 per day

Expected hours: 6 per week
