We are looking for a passionate Reporter to participate in the creative cycle of a news story by investigating and writing rich and unbiased “scoops”.

**Responsibilities**:

- Collect, verify and analyze thoroughly newsworthy information
- Assemble findings into a stable story
- Publish or broadcast news stories

**Requirements**:

- Proven working experience as a Reporter

FRESHERS

Freshers can also be considered if they possess good writing skills.

If fresher - he/she should be a graduate / postgraduate.

RESPONSIBILITIES

FIRST 12 MONTHS | NEWS REPORTER

Collect, verify and thoroughly analyze newsworthy content online.

Assemble findings into a news article with a strong narrative.

Write and deliver news articles from the reader’s perspective.

Identify suitable images & use them in the news article as per set parameters.

Accurately fact-check information that is provided in the article.

Publish the completed news article from the WordPress backend.

Carry out assignments provided from time to time.

Investigate new articles/news leads or tips.

Strictly follow the pre-defined Editorial ethics and code of conduct.

Collaborate and corroborate with fellow Reporters, Chief Editors, and other stakeholders in the organization.

Stay up-to-date with the latest current affairs and trends across the globe by studying papers, attending events, etc.

Meet sensitive deadlines for critical stories/ articles.

AFTER 1 YEAR | SENIOR MEDIA REPORTER

Write news stories for the news portal.

Review and Edit written content to improve readability, consistency, and clarity, in line with the narrative of the news portal.

Conduct research to identify topics of interest to readers, such as new scientific discoveries or cultural trends.

Report breaking news stories and develop new leads for stories/news articles.

Transcribe interviews / other recordings to make them appropriate for the news portal.

SKILL SET AND REQUIREMENTS

Degree in Journalism with at least 6 months to 1-year work experience as a Reporter or similar role.

Exception command over the English language (writing/reading and speaking).

Passion for writing and creating interesting stories.

Interesting in reading and learning about new topics, and new sectors across the globe.

A strong portfolio of written content.

Knowledge of media processes.

Charismatic and magnetic personality with great interpersonal and communication skills.

Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.

Team player with good time-management skills.

Proactive in using social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

Knowledge and Expertise in SEO Content and WordPress will be an added advantage.
