**Key Responsibilities for Purchase Intern**:
- **Identify and Confirm Material Requirements**:
- Coordinate with the Purchase Manager/Projects team to understand and confirm needed materials and quantities.
- **Source and Purchase Items Locally**:
- Travel within the city to visit local markets/suppliers to identify and purchase required items, ensuring quality and price competitiveness.
- **Inspect Materials for Quality Compliance**:
- Check all items before purchase to ensure they meet the required standards and specifications.
- **Arrange Local Transport**:
- Book appropriate local transportation (e.g., pickup vans, tempo, trucks) for the timely delivery of materials to the site.
- **Coordinate Dispatch and Delivery**:
- Ensure safe loading of items, accurate documentation, and monitor the delivery until it reaches the project site.
- **Share Purchase and Transport Details with the Purchase and Project Team**:
- Communicate purchase details (items, quantity, supplier info) and transport details (vehicle info, ETA, driver contact) to the site/project team promptly.
- **Maintain Proper Documentation**:
- Keep records of purchases, bills, transport bookings, delivery notes, and handover receipts.
- **Vendor and Transporter Coordination**:
- Build and maintain a network of reliable local suppliers and transport providers.
- **Report to Procurement/Project Head**:
- Provide daily or weekly reports on procurement status and deliveries as per project needs.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Inter/Diploma/ Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Civil/Mechanical Department
- 0-6 months of experience in procurement or purchasing
- Basic Knowledge of MS Office
