Primary Purpose of Job:

Stantec’s Pune, India office is looking for a Civil designer to join our team and work in Water group.

The role is to support project managers/team leaders by providing civil design (CAD/BIM) support to ensure that project outcomes in terms of budget, schedule, technical and quality standards, meet both the client and STANTEC expectations. Design and documentation of projects under the instructions and guidance of a Project Engineer using Civil Engineering techniques utilizing software such as, but not limited to, Autodesk Civil3D, Revit and AutoCAD in accordance with Client standards and procedures.

Stantec is looking for C3D designer role with experience in Civil design and detailing using AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.

Key Accountabilities:

- \tPreparation of 2D drawings of General arrangement, Site layout, sectional drawings, using AutoCAD.
- \tCivil 3D modelling - pipeline alignments (Pressure and Gravity networks) and longitudinal profiles/cross sections, site grading, cut-fill quantities.
- \tBasic knowledge of Corridor modelling, surface creation using different types of inputs
- \tBasic understanding of Topo Survey, Lidar survey and point cloud is a plus.
- \tEarthworks, erosion and sediment control design / modelling
- \tWater and wastewater pipeline design / modelling
- \tFamiliar with creating different styles of Civil3D entities using Civil 3D is a plus.
- \tTo understand design, drafting systems, standards and design development process followed by clients and implement in work.
- \tReview the inputs received from client and understand the scope of work and plan work accordingly without changing design intent.
- \tCoordination with other discipline designers and engineers as applicable.
- \tNeed to work off-hours for client co-ordination: Occasionally.
- \tAttend project meetings and calls as required.
- \tMust adhere to company QA/QC process and BIM strategies.
- \tAble to learn other 3D softwares as and when required by organization viz. Revit, Navisworks etc.

**Qualifications**:

- \tDiploma/B.E. in Civil Engineering
- \tShould have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Civil water and wastewater industry using AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.
- \tBasic engineering concepts - Pipelines, treatment plants, stormwater and sewerage
- \tShould be good team player.
- \tGood oral and written communication skills.
- \tData / document management system experience, such as ProjectWise, BIM360 is plus.
- \tAbility to work alone and use his/her initiative.
- \tWillingness to learn other 3D software required in organization, e.g. Civil3D, AutoCAD
- \tFlexible attitude to accepting different work assignments and proactive attitude to execution / delivery
- \tCompetent level of baseline skills, i.e., professional ethics, confident with the essential, basic business and communication skills that are required for career growth
