About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Civil Project Design Engineer to join our Biogas Generation Plant design team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in AutoCAD for generating 2D civil concept drawings, and experienced in designing biogas digesters, equipment foundations, and structural sheds. This role demands strong site execution knowledge, cost optimization skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with external architects and RCC designers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop civil concept drawings using AutoCAD (2D) for biogas plants
  • Design biogas digesters, equipment foundations, drainage systems, and structural sheds
  • Optimize civil designs for cost-effectiveness, material efficiency, and constructability
  • Estimate and prepare Bill of Materials (BOM), Bill of Quantities (BOQ), and costing sheets
  • Coordinate with external architects, RCC designers, and internal engineering teams
  • Supervise and support site construction activities, including layout marking, excavation, concreting, and testing
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, safety standards, and project specifications
  • Generate broad and detailed work schedules for civil activities and monitor progress at defined intervals
  • Conduct site visits across India and international locations for design validation and construction monitoring
  • Maintain accurate documentation, drawings, and revision records

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering
  • 3–8 years of experience in industrial or infrastructure projects, preferably in biogas or renewable energy
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD for civil layout and structural drawings
  • Experience in biogas digester design, foundation engineering, and site construction
  • Strong understanding of civil materials, testing procedures, and construction techniques
  • Ability to optimize designs for cost and performance
  • Skilled in preparing BOM, BOQ, and cost estimation sheets
  • Experience in project scheduling, timeline planning, and progress tracking
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills with external consultants
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Willingness to travel and work at project sites across India and abroad

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of STAAD Pro (Used by civil and structural engineers to analyze and design buildings, bridges, towers, and other infrastructure).
  • Knowledge of Revit (3D modeling and documentation of architectural, structural, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems), or other structural design tools.
  • Knowledge of environmental engineering or waste-to-energy infrastructure
  • Familiarity with green building practices and sustainable construction.
