**Your Role and Responsibilities**
- Install and configure AIX operating systems and servers
- Backup & restoration of system through mksysb & savevg
- system upgrade & migration through NIM (Network Installation manager.)
- Maintain and upgrade the AIX OS
- Install and test AIX OS patches
- Develop procedures for AIX security and management.
- Update standard policies according to environment changes and audit results
- Develop performance improvement initiatives for AIX system environment

**Required Technical and Professional Expertise**
- manage severs through HMC console
- collect server configuration details from console
- collect console configuration backups ( where ever applicable ); and
- resource allocation to Customer machine through console
- configure Network Interface Card (“NIC”) interface

**Preferred Technical and Professional Experience**
- Note: Any additional activity can be considered through the Project Change Control Procedure
- support in system/snapshot Restore in the event of a cluster failure
- work with vendor support team for the dump analysis and recover services, as applicable
- provide upgrade of the HA software release on an annual basis;
- add additional resources to cluster resource groups

**Required Education**

Bachelor's Degree
