Furniture Designer

Space 5 (& its associated companies) are looking forward to hiring talent for the position of Furniture designer, specialize in designing furniture for clients. Space 5. Space 5 is amongst India’s top 25 Architects. We are the highest rated architecture firm in the Punjab state as well. The person will create functional, safe and pleasing furniture by assessing space requirements, and selecting decorative items, all while adhering to relevant blueprints, building code and inspection requirements.

**Responsibilities**:

- Consult with clients to determine needs, preferences, safety requirements and purpose of space.
- Calculate dimensions, quantities and allowances with accurate precision.
- Develop detailed plans and 3-D models showing arrangement of walls, dividers, displays, lighting and other fixtures using computer-assisted design (CAD) software and graphics software.
- Develop plans, elevations, cross sections and detailed drawings, and advise on selection of colors, finishes and materials, floor and wall coverings, window treatments, interior and exterior lighting, furniture and other items, taking into account ergonomic and occupational health standards.
- Prepare plans and specifications for the final interior designs in accordance with current practices and codes.

**Qualification & Employment requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Furniture, Interior Designing or related
- 2+ years of work experience in Auto cad 3D, 3D Max, Google Sketch-up, and Photoshop.
- In-Depth knowledge of furniture, fabrics, color, design, and finishes
- Must be disciplined and hard working
- Should have proven work experience
