**Job Title**: Interior Designer Faculty
**Department**: Architecture and Design
**Reports To**: Head of Department / Academic Dean
**Location**: IDeA World College

**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Teaching & Curriculum Development**:

- Deliver lectures and practical sessions on interior design, spatial planning, materials, lighting, color theory, and design aesthetics.
- Develop and update course syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments based on current industry trends and best practices.
- Supervise student projects and offer constructive feedback to guide their design development.
- Conduct seminars, workshops, and studio-based teaching for interior design students.
- **Research & Innovation**:

- Engage in research activities in interior design, sustainable design practices, and related areas.
- Publish research findings in academic journals and present at design conferences.
- Incorporate innovative design trends and technologies into teaching methods and curriculum.
- **Advising & Mentorship**:

- Provide academic advising and mentorship to students, guiding them through their academic journey and design projects.
- Offer career counseling and help students with internships, networking, and job placement in the interior design field.
- **Administrative Responsibilities**:

- Participate in departmental meetings, faculty development programs, and accreditation processes.
- Assist in organizing design exhibitions, competitions, and other academic events.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (Master’s degree in Interior Design or related field is preferred).
- Proven experience in the field of interior design, with a portfolio showcasing practical and conceptual design skills.
- Previous teaching experience in an academic setting is highly desirable.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Adobe Suite).
- Knowledge of sustainable and innovative design principles.
- Passion for teaching and staying up-to-date with interior design trends.
