**Safety Officer - Pan India - Mumbai**
- A safety trainer typically has a wide range of responsibilities, which can include:

- Preparing training material such as lesson plans, handouts, and slide presentations
- Conducting training sessions on topics such as fire safety, accident prevention, and emergency response procedures
- Interpreting federal, state, and local regulations regarding occupational health and safety standards and implementing policies to ensure compliance
- Reviewing reports of accidents or hazards in the workplace and implementing corrective measures to reduce risk
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders in the community to promote safety awareness
- Conducting research on safety topics and developing educational materials based on findings
- Training all employees on company safety policies and procedures, including new hires and regular refreshers for existing employees
- Evaluating employee performance to ensure that they are complying with safety rules and standards
- Conducting investigations into employee accidents or near misses to determine causes and prevent future incidents from occurring

**Education**:Safety trainers are typically required to have a bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, health, human resources or a related field. Some employers prefer to hire safety trainers with a master’s degree in occupational safety.

**Training & Experience**:Safety specialists typically receive on-the-job training after being hired. This training may include learning the company’s policies and procedures, as well as the equipment and machinery they will be working with. Safety specialists may also receive training in first aid and CPR.

**Technical knowledge**:Safety trainers need to have a thorough understanding of the equipment they’re training others on. This includes knowing how to operate the machinery and understanding its potential risks. Safety trainers also need to know how to respond to any potential emergencies that may arise while someone is using the machinery.
