Morrison Hershfield India, an Architectural/Engineering Consulting firm, is seeking up to 2 Revit Structural Technologists for its Critical Facilities practice. Understand, this is going to be the first position of its kind in MH India Office, there will be a fair amount of independence required until the team grows.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- This role is for a Revit Structural Technologist/Modeler/Draftsperson who will work exclusively on buildings infrastructure projects in North America. This position will report to the local CAD/Revit Manager in the Vizag office, but will interface directly with our structural design teams throughout our offices in Canada.
- Typical projects would involve initial model setup, modeling of framing and foundations, sheet setup, documentation and annotation of the model on sheets, and updates to model and revision of drawings based on redlines by engineers.
- Coordination with Revit technologists in other disciplines both internal to MH and external consultants.
- There is also a need for this role to act in a Quality Assurance and Quality Control capacity, where model integrity, sheet organization and layout, consistency of annotation, and overall presentation quality of the drawings would be reviewed and modified/revised where required.
- The expectation is that the vast majority of the work would be in Revit (over 90%), with the remainder in AutoCAD.

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 10 years’ of experience in the engineering design and consulting industry doing structural drafting and modeling.
- Minimum of 5 years’ of experience with Revit preparing structural models and producing drawings and documentation for buildings.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a reputed university.
- Experience with drafting and modeling for steel-framed construction for large scale industrial, commercial, institutional, and manufacturing type projects.
- Highly skilled and familiar with international drafting standards and conventions specifically as they relate to structural drawings. Experience producing drawings for the North American market would be an asset.
- Experience with steel-framed and concrete-framed construction required. Experience with other building assemblies such as masonry, timber or precast concrete would be an asset.
- Experience with conventional shallow and deep foundations required. Experience with alternative foundation systems such as helical pile, micro pile, etc. or retaining walls would be an asset.
- Experience with steel detailing and/or concrete rebar detailing would be preferred.
- Experience with Revit models to LOD200 required. Experience with LOD300 and above preferred.
- AutoCAD knowledge required.
- Microstation knowledge would be an asset.
- Experience with Revit content creation (ie. families, templates, scripts) would be preferred.
- Experience with BIM projects involving clash detection and avoidance would be preferred.
- Experience with the BIM360 platform would be preferred.
- Experience with Navisworks would be an asset.
- Proficiency in Spoken and Written English language
- Ability to be detailed oriented, function in a multi-task environment, follow complex instructions, and meet fast paced deadlines
- Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment
- Ability to work overtime as required to meet client deadlines
