**Job Title: Director - Operations and Growth Management**

Sshrishti first started in 2003 in the living room of its founder, Ms. Sanghamitra Bose, providing informal education to 50 - 60 children daily and functioned there for almost a year. Sshrishti, which means creation, was registered as a trust on 15th December 2003. Today, Sshrishti is a credible NGO enjoying accreditation from both within India and abroad including Guidestar, Give India and Charities Aid Foundation. Sshrishti is a highly transparent organization that aligns itself with international norms of good governance, as evidenced by our 2010 recognition as the Best Small NGO in North India by Resource Alliance and Rockefeller Foundation and making it to the top four finalists at the India NGO Awards by EdelGive Foundation and Rockefeller Foundation.

In 2018, Gray Matters Capital (India), an independent agency for measuring learning outcomes, graded Sshrishti’s academic performance much higher than that of government schools pan-India.

The Director of Operations and Growth Management plays a pivotal role in the strategic direction and operational efficiency of the NGO. This individual will be responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of the organization, with a focus on driving growth and scalability while ensuring alignment with the NGO's mission and values. The role requires a strong blend of leadership, strategic planning, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. **Strategic Planning**: Develop and implement strategic plans in collaboration with the executive team to drive the organization's growth and impact.

2. **Operations Management**: Oversee day-to-day operations, including finance, human resources, IT, logistics, and administration, to ensure smooth functioning of the organization.

3. **Performance Monitoring and Evaluation**: Establish metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of operations, and regularly monitor and evaluate performance against these metrics.

4. **Budgeting and Financial Management**: Work closely with the finance team to develop annual budgets, monitor financial performance, and ensure compliance with financial regulations and best practices.

5. **Capacity Building**: Identify opportunities to enhance organizational capacity and efficiency through process improvements, technology adoption, and staff development initiatives.

6. **Partnership Development**: Cultivate and maintain strategic partnerships with other NGOs, government agencies, donors, and stakeholders to support the organization's growth objectives.

7. **Risk Management**: Identify potential risks to the organization's operations and develop strategies to mitigate these risks effectively.

8. **Team Leadership**: Provide leadership and mentorship to the operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

9. **Reporting and Communication**: Prepare regular reports for the executive team, board of directors, and donors, highlighting key operational metrics, achievements, and challenges.

10. **Compliance and Legal Affairs**: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies, and oversee legal matters as they pertain to operations.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or a related field. A master's degree or MBA is preferred.
- Proven experience of 15-20 years in operations management, preferably in the non-profit sector or a similar setting.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve common goals.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of implementing effective operational strategies.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated commitment to the mission and values of the NGO, with a passion for driving social change and impact.
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in non-profit management and governance.

**Working Hours and Days**: We work Monday to Saturday - Saturday remains half-day working. Also, every third Saturday of the month is off.

**Remuneration**:12 Lac - 15 Lac per annum.
