**Job Summary**:
The Tandoor Chef is responsible for preparing and cooking tandoor-based dishes, including breads, kebabs, and tandoori specialties. The role requires expertise in handling a tandoor oven and creating dishes that reflect authentic Indian flavors while maintaining consistency and quality.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Tandoor Operations**:
- Prepare and cook tandoori dishes such as naan, roti, paratha, kulcha, kebabs, tikkas, and tandoori breads.
- Operate and maintain the tandoor oven, ensuring it is at the correct temperature for optimal cooking.
- Monitor cooking times to ensure dishes are cooked to perfection.
- **Food Preparation**:
- Marinate meats, seafood, and vegetables using traditional techniques and spice blends.
- Ensure proper portioning and presentation of tandoor items as per the menu specifications.
- Prepare mise en place for tandoor dishes, ensuring smooth kitchen operations during service hours.
- **Quality Control**:
- Maintain high standards of taste, texture, and presentation for all tandoor dishes.
- Conduct regular tastings to ensure consistency in flavors.
- Minimize waste and ensure the efficient use of ingredients.
- **Hygiene & Safety**:
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, including proper cleaning and maintenance of the tandoor and workspace.
- Ensure proper storage of ingredients to prevent spoilage or contamination.
- **Team Collaboration**:
- Work closely with other chefs and kitchen staff to coordinate and deliver orders efficiently.
- Train and guide junior staff in tandoor techniques as needed.
- **Inventory Management**:
- Monitor stock levels of spices, marinades, and other tandoor-related ingredients.
- Communicate supply needs to the Head Chef or procurement team.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
**Education**:
- Higher Secondary(12th Pass) (preferred)
**Experience**:
- Chef: 1 year (preferred)
