**JOB PURPOSE**:To work with stakeholders to specify, design and select information systems that deliver great value to the organization in Site Systems, Fuels Pricing, Data and Analytics. This is a unique opportunity to play an active role in Shell’s transition towards digital and customer centric company.

**DEPARTMENT PURPOSE**: To implement and support the strategy and value delivery for Shell Retail Business.

**WORKING RELATIONSHIPS**:
**Reporting to**: Lead Solution Architect

**Other key relationships**: Solution Architects, IT Managers Team, IT Portfolio Managers, Service Operation Managers, CoE Architects, IT Service Operation Architects, Retail Segment Architects, Project Management team, Working with colleagues across the geography, work in Global Marketing initiatives and programs.

**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Liaise with the organization to understand organization and departmental strategy and agree information systems solutions to meet needs.

Maintain an awareness of business solutions particularly in Retail Site Systems including Forecourt, Point of Sales, Back office & HeadOffices.

Integrations with Shell Systems and middleware to facilitate the automated flow of data and information.

Lead in designing, specifying, and selecting information system solutions, considering functionality, data, security, integration, infrastructure and performance.

Contribute and maintain market level models of Retail Site systems, Products (Fuels and Non-Fuels) Pricing, Data & Analytics and Integrations and future Application Architecture aligned to Retail Site Segments Architectures.

Contribute and maintain market level road maps for and future architecture and design a structure that is reusable, commercially viable and secure.

Contribute to the organization in exploiting technology currently available is market space and use knowledge of IT solutions to drive organizational change and support business process design.

Liaise with IT Managers for Estimated cost and prepare business cases for IT solutions.

Work with Segment architects, Data architects and infrastructure architects for Reusable strategic product solution, data security and governance and infrastructure, licenses, development, and support respectively.

**WHAT DOES SUCCESS LOOK LIKE IN THIS JOB?**

Key to this role is the ability to break down the high-level functional and non-functional requirements into deliverable building blocks - high level and detailed level design document, that the delivery team can use to implement.

A product mindset to conceptualize, design and drive product centric IT architecture will be essential. Mindset for a product line centric stickiness will be helpful.

Complete coordination with different supporting team governing Shell IT landscape to be reflected into deliverable.

Suite of excellent information systems that meet or exceed stakeholder expectations for both functionality, availability, and performance.

Delivery of the IT strategy particularly the exploitation of Cloud services and off the shelf solutions

Implementation Project Team members are supported and receive clear directions on function and design of information systems.

Project experience and learning is shared effectively to have a culture of learning and sharing of best practices in the organization.

**SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**:
Proven and Hands on experience to deliver solution architecture for Enterprise grade products and solutions. Understand various facets of solution architecture and Enterprise Architecture principles.

Ability to drive product architecture life cycle.

Understanding of Security architecture principles in the context of Enterprise solution is mandatory. Awareness of technical concepts around authentication, authorization, single-sign-on, data mínimalization, privacy by design will be necessary.

Understanding of organization strategy and ability to design information systems to delivery that strategy & value delivery.

Experiencing in assessing a broad range of information solutions and products particularly document management, collaboration, and content management.

Excellent communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to lay audiences. Some experience of with working with board level stakeholders.

Self-starter with the ability to appropriately priorities and plan complex work in a rapidly changing environment.

Excellent presentation skills and experience in doing design walkthroughs with different stakeholders.
