Audiologist & Speech Language Pathologist

**Audiology Functions**:

- Conduct hearing assessments using audiometers, tympanometry, and other diagnostic tools.
- Diagnose hearing and balance disorders.
- Recommend and fit hearing aids and other assistive listening devices.
- Counsel patients and families on hearing loss, communication strategies, and hearing aid care.
- Collaborate with ENT specialists for medical or surgical intervention when necessary.
- Maintain documentation of assessments and patient progress.

**Speech-Language Pathology Functions**:

- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, voice, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on patient needs.
- Work with patients of all ages, including children with developmental delays and adults with acquired communication impairments.
- Educate families and caregivers on strategies to support therapy outcomes at home.
- Maintain detailed records of therapy sessions and progress.

**Administrative and Collaborative Duties**:

- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings for patient case discussions.
- Maintain compliance with documentation and reporting standards.
- Contribute to community outreach or awareness programs related to speech and hearing.
- Stay updated with advances in audiology and speech therapy practices through continuing education.

**Qualifications**:

- Master’s Degree in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (MASLP) or equivalent.
- Valid license/registration from the [State/National Licensing Authority].
- Clinical experience in both audiology and speech-language therapy (minimum 3-5 years preferred).
- Familiarity with audiological and speech therapy equipment and software.
