An Assistant Chef in a hotel setting plays a pivotal role in supporting the head chef and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen. This position involves a blend of culinary skills, leadership, and organizational abilities.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Support in Food Preparation**: Assist in the preparation and cooking of dishes, ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation standards.
- **Supervision of Kitchen Staff**: Oversee and guide junior kitchen staff, including commis chefs and kitchen assistants, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- **Inventory Management**: Monitor stock levels, assist in ordering supplies, and ensure proper storage to maintain freshness and minimize waste.
- **Quality Control**: Inspect dishes before serving to ensure they meet the hotel's quality standards and comply with health and safety regulations.
- **Training and Development**: Provide training to new kitchen staff, enhancing their skills and ensuring consistency in food preparation.
- **Health and Safety Compliance**: Ensure the kitchen operates in accordance with local health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, sanitation, and workplace safety practices.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- **Culinary Education**: Formal training from a recognized culinary institution is often preferred.
- **Experience**: Several years of experience in a professional kitchen, with a proven track record in hotel or restaurant settings.
- **Leadership Abilities**: Strong skills in managing and motivating a diverse team.
- **Organizational Skills**: Proficiency in managing multiple tasks, maintaining inventory, and adhering to schedules.
- **Communication Skills**: Effective verbal and written communication to interact with staff, guests, and suppliers.
- **Physical Stamina**: Capacity to work long hours in a physically demanding environment.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
