**About the Job**:
Join our dynamic team as an In-house Legal Counsel, responsible for overseeing contract review and negotiation, project support, claims management, and corporate governance. Your expertise will contribute to Unispace's growth by providing legal guidance, risk mitigation strategies, and practical solutions to ensure optimal contracting practices and legal compliance across the APAC region.

**Responsibilities**:

- Review and negotiate contracts for construction services, sub-contractor agreements, and related business contracts.
- Manage liability and professional service claims, coordinating with external counsel as necessary.
- Maintain and enhance contract and agreement templates.
- Collaborate with project teams to minimize potential claims and escalate responses as needed.
- Work with the People & Culture team to address claim-related risks.
- Provide guidance on business licensing and corporate governance issues.
- Review client and vendor contracts, aiding in managing commercial disputes.
- Assist in drafting and implementing contract workflows and signing procedures.
- Develop and deliver legal training materials.
- Offer advice on regional company law.

**Your experience**:

- Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- Minimum 8 years of legal experience in construction law, preferably with a focus on licensed professionals.
- Proven ability to drive change strategies and reduce risks and costs related to claims.
- Experience in contractor management.
- Familiarity with industry standard forms (e.g., JCT, FIDIC).
- Understanding of construction law across APAC legal systems.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Creative problem-solving abilities tailored to diverse audiences.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills.
- Autonomy and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to tackle new challenges.
- Ability to travel as required.
