Shift In-charge

**Role Summary**:

- The Section engineer works in a Production unit and assists its Unit manager in Safe and efficient plant operations.
- He will be accountable for speedy implementation of all initiatives related to Safety, Operational Excellence & Cybersecurity.
- The team comprises Shift in charges, Plant operators, Production executives & workers. Mix of exempt & non
- exempt employees.
- Assist Unit manager to Produce and deliver quality products at targeted cost and service level from Turbhe & Taloja site as per business requirement.
- Should have continuous improvement mindset.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Manufacturing activities: Assist Unit Managers in realizing targeted Production plan at Turbhe site. Monitoring KPIs to ensure optimum manufacturing efficiencies and productivity for the unit.
- Assist Unit manager in safe plant operations -compliance to cardinal rules and established procedures at shopfloor.
- Assist Unit manager in achieving Operational excellence in operations - compliance to established SOPs and Human Performance Improvement tools, monthly Preventive maintenance schedule, timely ERP reporting, OEE estimation, Safety talks, etc.
- Assist Unit manager in Process Improvements/ debottlenecking efforts to reduce cost and make the unit safer.
- Assist unit managers in ensuring compliance to ISO systems (documentation, implementation, Audit, and compliance); Compliance of all the legal requirements related to plant operation.

**REQUIREMENTS **(education, experience, competencies, and specific job requirements)**:
**Education / Certification**
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from a reputed college/ university & 8-10 years’ experience in Manufacturing.

**Experience and Skills**
- Strong experience in production -Manufacturing domain - Good understanding of Plant & equipment functioning, unit operations & Processes.
- Experience of batch specialty chemical processing industry, handling hazardous chemicals and exposure to advanced Process automation including DCS & PLC environment.
- Exposure to MNC work culture, SAP working environment and adept in MS Office.
- Experience in de bottlenecking process units and managing small projects, functioning of utilities, and worked on cost saving opportunities.
- Adept in Problem solving skills, use RCA tools and troubleshooting.
