**Your Role and Responsibilities**

You will Audit Backup Policies and environments to ensure integrity of Backup & Restore activities.
You will Pro-actively determine possible faults by execution of predetermined health and operational checks to provide the highest backup success rate.
You will Participate in recovery activities when required
You will Analyze and resolve escalated problem with in target timelines
You will perform Hardware/Software fault detection
You will perform coordination and timely follow-up with OEM for issue resolution
You will Manage data movement within Backup Scope
You will Participate and Lead in SEV1 incidents.
You will Prepare RCA for SEV1 issues with respect to Backup Management.
You will perform capacity planning and backup&restore performance tuning

**Required Technical and Professional Expertise**

Minimum 4 years experience in Veritas Netbackup with expert knowledge on the below

Veritas Netbackup Server on Unix, Linux and Windows

Veritas Netbackup Database (Oracle, SQL, DB2 etc)

Veritas Netbackup for Virtual Environment

Iveritas Netbackup for SAN

IBM Tape Libraries and HP Storeonce

Troubleshooting Backup Failures not resolved by L1

**Preferred Technical and Professional Experience**

Strong oral and written communication skills to explain technical issues in both a factual and well structured manner.

Bachelor's Degree
