The Server Backups Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining data backup and recovery systems, ensuring data integrity, and enabling timely restoration in case of data loss or system failure.

Key Responsibilities:

- Backup System Management:

- Configure, manage, and monitor backup systems and software.
- Develop and Implement backup policies and procedures.
- Ensure regular and reliable backups of critical data and systems.
- Manage backup storage (e.g., tape libraries, cloud storage).
- Design and implement backup strategies that meet business needs, focusing on backup frequency, retention policies, and storage requirements.
- Automate backup processes using scripting and backup software tools to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.

Data Recovery:

- Design and implement data restoration procedures.
- Perform data restoration as needed, ensuring mínimal downtime.
- Test and validate data recovery processes regularly.
- Troubleshooting and Problem Solving:

- Identify, diagnose, and resolve backup and recovery issues.
- Monitor backup jobs and alert systems for failures or errors.
- Escalate complex issues to appropriate personnel.
- Documentation and Reporting:

- Maintain accurate documentation of backup procedures and configurations.
- Generate reports on backup performance and storage usage.

Security:

- Implement and maintain security measures for backup systems and data.
- Ensure compliance with relevant security standards and regulations.

Other tasks:

- Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing.
- Stay current with industry’s best practices and technologies.
- May be involved in server administration tasks, depending on the role. Skills and Qualifications:

- Technical Skills:

- Strong understanding of backup and recovery technologies (e.g., Veeam, BackupExec, NetBackup, Commvault).
- Experience with various operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux).
- Knowledge of storage technologies (e.g., SAN, NAS, SAS).
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Soft Skills:

- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience:

- 4 years experience in backup administration or a related IT role.
- Experience with specific backup software or technologies may be required.
- Certifications:

- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE), CompTIA Server+, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert, Veritas Certified Specialist (VCS) ) may be beneficial

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹1,200,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year

Schedule:
