**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage the day-to-day operations of the library, including cataloging, shelving, and organizing resources.
- Assist students and faculty with locating research materials, books, journals, and digital resources.
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all library resources, including physical and digital materials.
- Collaborate with faculty to support curriculum needs and provide necessary resources.
- Oversee the procurement of new books, periodicals, and reference materials.
- Implement and manage digital library systems, making online resources accessible to students and staff.
- Organize and promote library events such as book clubs, research workshops, and author talks.
- Monitor and update the library’s database and ensure accurate cataloging of materials.
- Ensure compliance with copyright and licensing regulations for both print and digital resources.
- Develop and enforce library policies and procedures to maintain a conducive learning environment.
- Provide regular reports on library usage, trends, and resource needs.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Library Science or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in an educational institution.
- Proficiency in library management software and digital library systems.
- Excellent organizational, research, and communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to assist and guide students and staff.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and prioritize duties in a dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with maritime or technical education resources will be an advantage.
- A proactive attitude with a passion for knowledge and learning.
