**Job Summary**:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Freight Broker to join our team. As a Freight Broker, you will be responsible for arranging transportation services between shippers and carriers, negotiating rates, and coordinating logistics operations. Your primary focus will be to match shippers' freight with carriers, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Customer Engagement: Act as the main point of contact for shippers and establish strong relationships to understand their shipping needs and requirements.

2. Carrier Sourcing: Identify and vet carriers to build a reliable network of transportation providers, ensuring they meet quality and safety standards.

3. Freight Matching: Analyze shipping requirements and available carrier capacity to match suitable carriers with shippers' freight, ensuring efficient delivery.

4. Negotiations: Negotiate rates and terms with carriers to secure cost-effective transportation solutions for shippers while maintaining profitability for the company.

5. Documentation and Coordination: Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading, customs paperwork, and insurance forms. Coordinate logistics activities, ensuring accurate and timely execution of shipments.

6. Problem Resolution: Proactively identify and resolve any issues that may arise during the transportation process, such as delays, damages, or routing changes.

7. Compliance: Stay up-to-date with industry regulations, including transportation laws, insurance requirements, and licensing, ensuring full compliance in all transactions.

8. Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, industry rates, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for business growth and improvement.

9. Data Management: Utilize transportation management systems and software to record and track shipments, maintain accurate records, and generate reports for analysis.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred)
- Previous experience as a freight broker
- In-depth knowledge of the transportation industry, including carrier operations, regulations, and market trends
- Strong negotiation and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with shippers and carriers
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address logistics challenges promptly and effectively
- Proficiency in using transportation management systems and software for data management and analysis
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
