The Z/OS DB2 DBA will be primarily responsible for the maintenance, enhancement and performance tuning of z/OS DB2 databases as well as VSAM files, JCL, and TSO.
- Database performance tuning and availability monitoring and maintenance.
- Monitor DB2 VSAM datasets utilization and plan the administration activities of DB2 subsystems.
- Resolve production database issues.
- Monitoring Jobs, processes and interfaces.
- Analyze and fix DB2 batch failures.
- Setup of DB2 environments - creation of databases, tablespaces, tables, indexes and other DB2 objects.
- Perform image copies of databases, Load /Unload data, rebuilding indexes, data validation, repair tablespaces, Archive DB2 logs, Restoration of DB2 logs
- Granting and Revoking DB2 object privileges.
- Performance study and improvements along with backup, recovery, REORGS, RUNSTATS, etc

**Primary Skills**:

- Should have experience on DB2 DBA on z/OS Mainframe environment.

**Secondary Skills**:

- IBM z/OS Mainframe, JCL, DB2, CICS, VSAM, VTAM, IMS, TSO / ISPF, SQL.
