Interior Architect

**Description**:
An interior architect is a professional who specializes in designing and creating functional and aesthetically pleasing indoor spaces, such as homes, offices, hotels, restaurants, and public buildings. They work on the layout, color scheme, furniture, lighting, and other elements of a space to create a unique and cohesive design. Interior architects may work in collaboration with other professionals, such as contractors, engineers, and decorators, to ensure that the design is executed correctly. They also consider the environmental impact of their designs and may incorporate sustainable materials and practices into their work. Overall, interior architects strive to create beautiful and functional spaces that meet the needs and preferences of their clients.

**Job responsibility**:

- Responsible for producing architectural working drawings including all details for architectural interior projects.
- Maintain / organize project files, schedules and specifications.
- Site visits and assist in construction supervision.
- Site survey / measures of existing conditions and produce drawings of the same.
- Work with the entire team, in-office and with outside consultants.
- Proficient time management to facilitate working on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Outline client design objectives.
- Conceptualize and sketch design plans.
- Determine cost of completion and project requirements in the budgeting phase.
- Set a timeline for the completion of an interior design project.
- Source materials and products included in plans.
- Create 'mood boards' to sample your design vision.
- Inspect design after completion to determine whether client goals have been met.

**Duties**:

- Undertake design project from concept to completion.
- Determine the client’s goals and requirements of the project.
- Interpret and translate customer needs into rough plans.
- Negotiate fees and set schedules for the project.
- Research and decide on materials and products sourcing.
- Place orders for materials and oversee installing the design elements.
- Work closely with designers, decorators, architects and constructors.
- Research and follow industry changes, evolutions and best practices.

**Skills**:

- Bachelor's degree in interior design or related field.
- Portfolio of design work.
- Project management experience.
- Experience with computational design.
- Job site experience including working with architects, builders and landscape architects, measuring and producing as-built documents.
- Organized, detail oriented, deadline driven, fast paced team player.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Illustrator, SketchUp or similar design software.
- Strong technical and practical CAD skills with an understanding of architectural conventions, including floor plans, elevations, sections, RCP, electrical and millwork.
- Experience and interest in traditional and modern detailing.
- Strong understanding of and proficiency in producing all schedules.
- Excellent communication skills, especially in regard to communicating an artistic vision.

Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: ₹23,959.64 - ₹128,183.39 per month
