Job Title: General Manager - Biodiesel Production

It is a renowned listed company with a strong presence in the production of edible oils, grain-based ethanol, and Extra Neutral Alcohol (ENA). Committed to sustainable practices and innovative solutions, It is expanding its operations to include biodiesel production. The company's new biodiesel production unit, located in Bathinda, Punjab, is set to operate at a capacity of 75 thousand liters per day (KLPD).

**Job Description**:
Key Responsibilities:
Unit Setup: Collaborate with the project team to ensure the successful setup and commissioning of the biodiesel production unit, adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day operations of the biodiesel plant, including production scheduling, inventory management, and quality control to ensure optimal performance and maximum output.

Process Optimization: Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency, reduce production costs, and maximize resource utilization.

Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations governing biodiesel production operations. Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain a safe and sustainable work environment.

Team Leadership: Build and lead a skilled team of professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure smooth operations and foster a culture of excellence and accountability.

Vendor Management: Liaise with suppliers, vendors, and service providers to procure raw materials, equipment, and services required for uninterrupted operation of the biodiesel plant.

Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage budgets for the biodiesel production unit, monitoring expenses and implementing cost-saving measures to optimize financial performance.

Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or related field. Master's degree preferred.

Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in biodiesel production or related industries, with a proven track record of successful project management and operational leadership.

In-depth knowledge of biodiesel production processes, equipment, and technologies.

Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards governing biodiesel production.

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Proven ability to drive process optimization, cost reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Prior experience in setting up and commissioning biodiesel production units would be an advantage.

The position is based in Bathinda, Punjab, India, with occasional travel as required.

Pay: ₹90,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
