**About the Job**

We are currently seeking a person for **Power BI Developer **reporting to **BI Manager and to join our team based in Noida.

**Mission of the position**:

- Gather **BI Partners **(GBS Management, operations teams, GBS Quality team and internal customers) data and reporting requirements, understand their operational needs, and recommend and deliver on the best available solution based on available BI tools and technologies.
- Develop understanding of the functional aspects of the verticals such as Finance - AP, AR, GL, FP&A. HR - Recruitment, Onboarding, L&D. and Master data processes.
- Be responsible for writing efficient reports by following the standards and implementing the best BI methodologies.
- Driving maintenance of BI reporting (access and modifications request management)

**Main Accountabilities**:

- Responsible for planning, designing, developing, implementing and maintaining Microsoft Power BI dashboards and reports
- Understand business requirements in BI context and design data models to transform raw data into meaningful insights
- Analyzing data and present data through reports that aid decision-making
- Convert business requirements into technical specifications and decide timeline to accomplish
- Create relationships between data and develop tabular and other multidimensional data models
- Develop strong data documentation about algorithms, parameters, models, and relations
- Perform M language queries, DAX queries and other functions in Power BI
- SQL querying for better performance and Row Level Security for data governance
- Need to communicate and collaborate with GBS teams and when needed with customers across the globe
- Format the requested reports in a simplistic, self-explanatory, and visually appealing way as to ensure answers to questions asked are clear and evident
- Work in improving existing reports and dashboards thru continuous improvement, best practices, analytical and strategic thinking, and business intelligence
- Be comfortable with extracting data from multiple data sources by configuring Power BI gateways, and using M scripting to connect and refresh the data
- Research legacy system (ERPs / SSAS cubes / Cloud and other sources) and understand how the data is structured and data definitions within each system
- Conduct periodic sessions with end-users that identify process or system improvements, data needs for reporting, problem resolution and other IT related activities
- Establish and manage a robust plan for successful deployment of BI reporting
- Identify opportunities for improvement in the organization's reporting processes.
- Work closely with multiple functions in organization to facilitate training and education on BI tools & techniques for sustainable long-term improvements.

**Knowledge/Background**:

- 5+ years of experience in BI reporting and significant experience in use of Microsoft Power BI and/or experience in shared services with strong BI background/appetite
- Strong experience in data analysis (including statistics background)
- Added advantage to have knowledge of scripting and programming language such as Python
- Fluency in verbal and written English language

**Entry Qualifications**:

- University degree in related field in Information Systems, Business Administration.
- 5+ years of experience in successful BI reporting using Microsoft Power BI / Power Platform tools.
- Experienced with relational database concepts
- Comprehensive knowledge of data design, data modeling, data management, and data visualization
- Stay updated with advancements and best practices in design and development
