The Content Solutions team at The Economist Group develops and executes bespoke content-driven programmes that solve our clients’ marketing challenges in an innovative way using the full range of The Economist Group’s resources including advertising, social media and events.
The Content Solutions marketing team seeks a Marketing Executive to execute amplification campaigns for our programmes. We are looking for a highly strategic individual with strong digital marketing experience and is comfortable working in cross-functional teams. You will report directly to the Senior Marketing Manager and work closely with the content editorial, sales and digital teams in a global unit.
**Accountabilities**:
**In this role you would be expected to**:
- Create, develop and execute original and effective amplification programmes to ensure that our content has maximum impact
- Develop and implement social media campaigns appropriate to the target market, promoting through a variety of social channels as well as relevant blogs, forums and online communities
- Support paid social media activities via our global social channels
- Continually monitor social media trends and make recommendations to enhance our social media presence
- Analyse and report on results. Reviewing and improving activity will be key to maximising the digital and online potential
- Provide timely and regular reporting that summarizes website and campaign performance
- Meet or exceed clients' marketing objectives and KPIs
- Act as project manager on occasion
**Experience, skills and professional attributes**:
**To succeed in this role you must have**:
- Proven digital marketing experience, preferably in a media environment and/or in a professional services marketing and B2B environment
- Previous experience within a content marketing environment
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant discipline
- 3 or more years of work experience
- A high level of competency using Microsoft Excel to create reports, analyse data and present findings in a clear and informative way
- Knowledge of lead management, CRM, data-led marketing (preferably using Salesforce and Eloqua) and SEM
- Knowledge of analytics systems eg Google Analytics or alternative social media monitoring tools
- Knowledge of social video asset creation
- Some previous experience of working in a client-facing role, including making presentations to clients
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms
- Ability to work under tight time constraints, managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication and project management skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and succinctly, both verbally and in writing
- Good problem-solving capabilities and the ability to offer solutions that take into account different priorities across multiple stakeholders and clients
- Meticulous attention to detail and deadlines
- Ability to gain credibility with executives and senior managers in the organization
- Ability to be comfortable with and navigate through ambiguity and uncertainty in a complex environment
