A Lathe Operator in the EOT (Electric Overhead Traveling) crane manufacturing industry in Changodar, Ahmedabad, is responsible for operating lathe machines to precisely shape and finish metal components used in crane assembly. This role is crucial for ensuring the structural integrity and functionality of crane parts.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Machine Operation**: Operate lathe machines to cut, shape, and finish metal components according to design specifications.
- **Setup and Calibration**: Prepare and calibrate lathe machines for production runs, adjusting settings to accommodate different component sizes and materials.
- **Quality Control**: Inspect finished components for dimensional accuracy and surface finish, ensuring they meet quality standards.
- **Maintenance**: Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on lathe machines to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- **Documentation**: Maintain records of production runs, machine settings, and maintenance activities for quality assurance and compliance purposes.
- **Safety Compliance**: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

**Qualifications**:

- **Educational Background**: Diploma or ITI in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- **Experience**: Minimum of 3-4 years of experience as a Lathe Operator in the manufacturing industry, preferably in crane or heavy machinery production.
- **Technical Skills**: Proficiency in operating and maintaining lathe machines; understanding of machining processes and tolerances.
- **Soft Skills**: Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills.

- **Compensation**: Salaries typically range from ₹25,000 to ₹30,000 per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
