- In this role, you need to work as medical coder for Provider Coding._

- Responsibilities_
- _Review medical records, patient medical history and physical exams, physician orders, progress notes, consultation reports, diagnostic reports, operative and pathology reports, and discharge summaries to verify the pertinent CPT and ICD 10 CM codes._
- _To code on Medical reports by assigning appropriate CPT & ICD 10 CM codes based on the documentation and per the client specification._
- _Follow project-specific guidelines without any deviation._
- _Check the LCD policy per insurance specification._
- _Performs assigned tasks/complete targets with speed and accuracy as per client SLAs_
- _Compliance with client/project guidelines, business rules, and training provided the company's quality system and policies._
- _Communication / Issue escalation to supervisor if there is any in a timely manner._
- _Willing to learn and keep self-updated with the updated codes._
- _Work cohesively in a team setting. Assist team members to achieve shared goals._

- Qualifications we seek in you_
- Minimum Qualifications_
- _Must have relevant experience in Inpatient Coding_
- _Thorough knowledge of CPT and ICD-10-CM/PCS, HCPCS Level II, Medicare, Medicaid, and Insurance guidelines._
- _Coding certification: Mandatory CIC (AAPC) and/or CCS (AHIMA)_
- _Science graduate/BAMS/BHMS/BPT/BUMS and/or relevant equivalent and relevant work experience_
- Preferred Qualifications/ Skills_
- _Preferred relevant general medical coding experience._
- _Must possess computer skills including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint._
- _Experience with 3M and encoder preferred._
- _Experience with an EPIC preferred._
- _Must be able to use the internet and other electronic resources for the purpose of research._
- _Advanced understanding of Professional coding guidelines, medical terminology, pharmacology, body systems/anatomy, physiology, and concepts of disease processes_
