Mobile App Tester

**Job Title: Manual Tester**

**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities:Test Planning & Documentation**:

- Analyze business and technical requirements to create comprehensive test plans.
- Develop, document, and execute test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios.
- Maintain clear and concise test documentation, including test results and defect reports.
- Collaborate with the QA team to refine testing strategies and improve processes.

**Test Execution & Defect Management**:

- Perform functional, regression, system, and integration testing.
- Identify, report, and track software defects using bug-tracking tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.
- Conduct root cause analysis and work closely with the development team to ensure timely bug resolution.
- Reproduce issues reported by users and provide detailed steps for debugging.

**Quality Assurance & Process Improvement**:

- Validate UI/UX designs against functional specifications.
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards and industry best practices.
- Identify gaps in test coverage and suggest improvements.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and other Agile ceremonies.

**Collaboration & Communication**:

- Work closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners to clarify requirements and expectations.
- Provide test execution status updates and escalate critical issues as needed.
- Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and assist stakeholders with test execution.

**Required Skills & Qualifications**:

- **Experience**: 3-5 years of hands-on experience in manual testing.
- **Testing Types**: Strong knowledge of functional, regression, system, integration, and UAT testing.
- **Test Case Design & Execution**: Ability to create detailed test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios.
- **Bug Tracking Tools**: Experience using JIRA, Bugzilla, TestRail, or similar defect-tracking tools.
- **SDLC & STLC**: Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- **Agile & Scrum**: Experience working in Agile methodologies.
- **SQL**: Basic knowledge of SQL queries to validate backend data.
- **API Testing**: Exposure to API testing using tools like Postman (preferred but not mandatory).

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Exposure to automation testing tools like Selenium (added advantage).
- Familiarity with performance and security testing concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
