**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Position in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Function**

**About Us**:
Datawave Networks Group is an international provider of independent, carrier neutral, open-access next generation hi-tech subsea optical fibre cable network across continents. We specialize in providing telecom operators, OTT players and hyperscalers with lifecycle end-to-end optical Fibre Pair (FP) solutions by utilizing the very latest in state-of-the-art undersea technologies. Our project Singapore-India-Gulf (“SING”) submarine cable system is designed to connect Mumbai and Chennai in India with South-East Asia (Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia) on the East and Middle East (UAE and Oman) on the West. The Group has presence in the UK, Europe, India and Singapore.

The Group is promoted by investors from the USA and the UK. The project cost is estimated at ~USD 550M as primary capex and ~USD300-400M as secondary capex. The Group is in discussions with various multilateral financial institutions including International Finance Corporation (IFC), Barclays family office, Sequoia Capital etc. for part financing of the project. Datawave has been engaging with potential customers most of which are international with individual contract size at ~USD 40-60M.

The Group is built on a strong foundation by highly experienced and eminent people in the industry and follows high governance practices. We are currently a lean organization intending to build a team of highly motivated as well as self-driven professionals who are willing to take on challenges of a start-up, acquire all round learnings and build a long-term career with the Group.

**Key Areas**:
**Financial Planning and Analysis**
- Develop and implement budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling processes to support startup growth objectives.
- Develop and manage the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
- Collaborate with the founders and leadership team to set financial goals, establish KPIs, and track performance.
- Build, review and improvise financial models to support decision-making on investments, projects, and strategic initiatives.

**Strategic Insights and Recommendations**
- Analyze financial data to provide actionable insights that influence strategy and execution.
- Support capital allocation decisions, including evaluation of funding rounds and operational investments.
- Identify risks and opportunities associated with financial performance and market trends.

**Reporting and Presentations**
- Create dashboards to track real-time metrics and inform leadership on financial health and project progress.
- Work closely with external stakeholders, including overseas investors and advisors, to provide transparent and detailed financial and investor updates.
- Work closely with accounting team in discharge of FP&A function and cross-functional teams to support financial planning and decision making.

**Team Building and Leadership**
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial goals with business objectives.
- Guide and mentor junior team members as the finance team grows.

**Other tasks**
- Support initiatives targeted at financial and business processes development.
- Interact with external stakeholders (in India and abroad) e.g., tax authorities, banks, tax advisors, legal advisors, debtors, creditors etc.
- Any other work that may be assigned from time to time.

**Qualifications**:
**Education and Experience**
- Essential - MBA with specialization in Finance, CA, or CFA with preferably with bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.

**Skills and Competencies**
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling. Strong knowledge of Macros would be an added advantage.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to prepare presentations for international investors.

**Job Location**:

- Currently Andheri, Mumbai.
- This is an on-site role and does not offer WFH opportunity.

**How to Apply**:
Pay: ₹540,000.00 - ₹780,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
